Heatsinks: How do you know which side of the fan should be up?

I lost the manual for my processor heatsink and am not sure if my fan is upside down or not. I've tried switching it and both sides seem to blow the same amount of air.

1. The label always faces out.
2. whats the make of your heat sink? Notmally the fan is on the side or up.:)
3. Heat rises. The fins on the heat sink dissipate the heat into the ambient air. The fan should blow upwards to both remove the heat and to cool the fins as well as circulate the heat away from the processor mounting socket.
4. If it's not obvious by the mounting hardware configuration, the label probably will be on the top side.
