How do you activate the sound on a motherboard?

I booted the computers harddrive, and now all my sound is gone along with a few other things. So, how do I activate the sound using the motherboard?

1. well if its enabled in the bios then u probably need to install the audio driver ... get it from the manufacturer support site along with whatever other drivers they offer for your model ...
2. go into the bios by following the on screen promts when you reboot and you will find the setting in there
3. okay, the first step is activating it through the BIOS, they're usually on the Chipset settings and usually it's on by default or if not, you can modify the setting from Disabled to Auto or Enabled, just choose enabled to make sure. now, install the driver of your motherboard and the Audio drivers are included there. it'll ask you to restart your PC and if you did everything correctly, you'll be able to hear Windows Intro.
