What is the best matching motherboard for my new processor?
I would like to get a clone pc with intel C2 Duo (2x2 MB L2 Cache 3.0 GHz and 800 MHz FSB), which Intel motherboard will give me max output if I use this processor?

- maybe you can try to overclock it.. you know.. give it more juice. Anyway any motherboard will do.. just watch out for the socket side.. im guessing you're is an LGA775
- Well "WE" know it's a socket LGA775 The Intel BOXDP965LTCK is a good mobo. And a good price. This mobo is a Rolls Royce of mobo's http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131149 Do you want a micro atx mobo? A good micro form factor mobo. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813121319===945 chipset They have 1066/800MHz FSB and the 965 chipset except the micro atx mobo. It has the 945 chipset.
- The best motherboard brands for overclocking are the following: Gigabyte, Asus, DFI, MSI (usually good, a little scetchy). Any of those brands in LGA775 will do you right for overclocking. Do not get an intel brand motherboard or you will have to overclock with with software which is inferior to a bios overclock. And if you are not going to overclock, you might as well get an Athlon because they are cheaper. C2D advantage is their major overclock ability. This looks like a good motherboard to me, though if you're willing to spend, I suggest you get one with two PCIE slots so you can do multi-gpu in the future. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128059 Gigabyte is my favorite because they use high quality components, have good manuals and support, and overall good gear. I haven't had good experience with Asus.
