How much should it cost to get the Motherboard of a laptop fixed?

I need to replace the motherboard of my DELL laptop. I spilled water over it and somehow it got in there. My insurance won't cover it and now I have to pay. Dell said it would cost $400. Is that reasonable or should I look else where? This is actually a pretty new Dell model.. XPS. Cost me alot of money!

1. Thats the price of a computer. I payed 80 for mine, self install though
2. It is a decent price for Dell to do the work. However if it is not a really good NEW pc, sell it and buy a new one.
