Which motherboard is good for overclocking?
I was wondering which motherboard is good for overclocking? I have an AMD 939 system right now. Another question. When the quad-core AMDs come out, which will be better, the AMD or Intel? I am planning to replace my current system which is a 3500+ Athlon 64 which has been running almost non-stop for 3 years. I want to change it but don't want to give it up. What is your insight and opinion on the new AMD quad core? I know you don't overclock your motherboard but they say some motherboards don't overclock as good as others.

- You don't overclock your motehrboard...you overclock your CPU. Quad Core is good...no argument.
- The first guy is wrong. You need a good motherboard for overclocking to get good numbers. I would say either Asus or EVGA or DFI are good overclocking boards. I use an EVGA 680i sli board and it runs my Q6600 at 3.2GHZ!! Make sure you get very good cooling for cpu. From the test numbers I've seen, AMD will not be as good as the Intel quad cores. I would go with Intel. They also will overclock much more than a AMD.
