  1. Basicly any motherboard you can buy will support 2gb of ram, most will support up to 4gb. The best way to tell, is to see how many sticks of ram you have, (for example do you have 4 512mb sticks, 2 1gb sticks, or 1 2gb stick?) Then look at how many memory slots your motherboard has.
  2. It's going to depend on your processor, but ASUS is a good bet as to brands. Gigabyte are good too, I avoid Abit with a passion. Stick with Intel or Nvdiia chipsets on the board, stay away from VIA chipsets.
  3. I bought an ASROC several years ago and everyone told me it was crap, but I haven't had any trouble with it in three years. Everyone seems to think ASUS is the best and they may be, but I'm happy with mine. It will take up to 3GB RAM. Check on Pricewatch.com.

  5. any motherboard that you dont find in the middle of the street will support atleast 1GB of RAM. i was looking at something the other day that intel makes for only like $5000. that sounds like lot but for 64GB of ram i think its good. but i wont be getting it, i just like browsing
