Our computer is not compatible with PCI Express video cards, so we don't know what to do or get. Thanks.

What video card should I purchase to play games like Mass Effect 2 on good settings? I stopped playing PC games for a few years and I recently bought a new system. The system is great, but the only thing lacking is a great video card. The stock card it came with is an ATI Radeon HD 3200, and it simply does not play modern games. What card should I buy (decently priced) to play modern games like Mass Effect 2, and in the future Star Wars: The Old Republic, on good settings? By good settings I mean medium-high quality.

How can I remove a video card and get my monitor to work? I bought a computer (tower only) on ebay. The guy said that it was set up for onboard video but he had a video card that he put in the computer because he didn't have any other way to ship it (btw I have no idea what any of that means). I set up the computer and I can't get any image on my monitor. I have my old computer (dell) which I could pull a video card out of. What do I need to do. Oh, and the guy shipped the computer in a box with absolutely no packing materials; it was just sitting in a box. So it could also be completely busted I have no idea. OK, I tried to get to the video card but the housing for the printer input is on top and I can't figure out how to remove that. Also, there is only 1 input for the monitor cord.
What is a good video card to use for Revit Architectural program? For the 2010 version and future version. I want a card that will last a good while. From what I've read, i don't need a very powerful video card for Revit. I was thinking the Nvidia 250GTS 512mb or the 1gb version. Would i actually need an extra 500mb of vRAM? Anyway, any other suggestions are appreciated. Again, i don't need a powerful card. All I'll be doing is modeling, rendering etc, nothing like playing games.

What temperature range should a video card be in? I've just downloaded Piriform's Speccy. A software tool that reveals the specs of the PC including some hardware's temperature. Funny thing about the result is, the video card's temperature is initially at 60 degrees Celsius and, after some hours of using it, the temperature is now at 70 degrees Celsius. What's a safe range of temperature should a video card be in? I'm getting worried 'cause the PC I'm using is open most of the time everyday.
What kind of new video/graphics card would you suggest I get? Now that school is over with, I have time to upgrade my PC with a new video card so I can play more games. But I have never done this before and I need some help! Here's what my PC already has: Windows XP Home Edition 2.7 Ghz Celeron processor 512 MB RAM 25 GB of HD space left (out of 60 GB) 64 MB Intel Extreme 3D Graphics card (integrated, it sucks) My PC has 2 or 3 PCI slots availble, so I need a PCI card. I was planning on getting just a 256 MB PCI video card. I really only want it to get the games that I already have to run smoother and so I can actually get the newer games to run. Also I have about $80 in gift cards for Best Buy (from my birthday a couple months ago) and not much cash in my wallet, so I would like to get one around $80-$120. I would also like something thats easy to install, but if it's not I can always get my computer game geek Uncle to help me out :-) Thanks! I don't think my motherboard has AGP or PCI express, but I have never checked to find out. Also, NEVER let your parents choose a computer for you, or else you will get a crappy PC like mine. (got it about 3 years ago for my birthday) TO Hornet One: I wasn't going to get the fastest video card anyway because I knew that it probably wouldn't work that's why I was going to get a cheaper one. I just want my games like Call of Duty, Halo, and Battlefield 1942 to run at 30+ fps about 85% of the time so it can make it a bit easier to play. It's kind of embarassing to lose in a deathmatch not because of how I play, but because my PC ran at 15 fps whenever I saw someone. It just adds to my anger and frustration.
How do you figure out who your video card manufacturer is? "It appears that your computer is using the Windows generic video driver for the video card installed in this computer. Unfortunately based on the information available we will not be able to provide you with a link to your specific video drivers. We recommend contacting the manufacturer of your computer or video card to get the latest updates." I don't know who it is/how to find them. HELP!
What Video Card is Compatable with a Dell Dimention 4500S? Ive been looking into upgrading the video card on my Dell Dimension 4500S. There are 2 PCI inputs, one is very small, and the other is normal for graphics cards, but that one is split into 2 more, and the mounting on it is awkward. There is a limited amount of space in the splitting case and the power supply on the computer is limited. Which card would work, and do I need to upgrade the power supply. If so, could you give me an example of one that would work?
How do I uninstall a video card from my PC and revert to factory settings? I installed an Ati X1300 card into my PC, but I am going to take it out and put it in another pc. I tried turning the power off, unplugging the VGA cable from the card, and then putting it back on the original VGA output. That didn't work. So I'm assuming I need to go into control panel settings and set up the original built-in video card again. How do I go about doing this without original drivers on hand? Thanks. I cannot figure this out, I tried what you say in the first answer...I see no factory card option.

What is the cheapest video card that will do the job? I just bought Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, (the first, not Mod2) and my computer says that I don't have the right video card. This is considerably annoying because I just spent $40 on the infernal game in the first place. Even so, I want to be able to play the game, so what is the cheapest video card that I can get that will still do the trick?

How do you upgrade your video card driver? I'm having problems with my sims2 and I've heard more than once that it maybe a problems with my video card (the game does move really slow). What does it take to upgrade and replace a video card? My computer has a Nvidia GE Force2 mx/mx 400 video card. I have a CAD program that needs a better video card to run it. Can I just replace my computer's card with a Nvidia GE Force 6600 (which is one of the cards the program says will support its graphics) or is there other things that need to be upgraded to run a higher level video card? Is it just a matter of pulling out the old card and plugging in the new one and installing it or is it more complicated than that?
What is the best video card to play games like Flight Simulator X? I am building my new PC and I still, after 2 months, can't decide on a good video card. I plan on playing alot of Flight Simulator X and Age of Empires. What exactly do I have to do to find out if my computer can handle two monitors at once? I've heard about a splitter for the monitor cables. Is there such a thing, and how would I know if it would work?
How can I improve the performance of my secondary video card? I recently purchased a PCI BUS Radeon 9250 to use as a secondary video card. After downloading the latest display driver, the card seems to be running fine. However, I've noticed that when moving windows quickly, the screen seems to refresh slowly, and web pages draw slower than they normally do when I'm viewing them on either of my monitors running on my primary video card (GeForce 6800gt). I'm not sure if this is just a limitation with PCI cards or if it's something I may have missed. Any insight is greatly appreciated.
Which Video Card is better for a HDTV Aquos 720 and VGA Monitor ? I have a HDTV Aquos LC-40D37U. It is 37" and 720. Also, I have a standard Monitor. Which Video Card do you recommend to use with both display (HDTV and standard Monitor). I am specially interested to have super great quality picture in HDTV but monitor can be switched when I prefer use my monitor. My HDTV has HDMI inputs and Red-Blue-Green inputs. My monitor has VGA (No DVI). Thanks for any help. I do this question because I tried and old video card on HDTV and it showed medium video quality. The words were not very easy to read as compared in my monitor which show an excellent video quality. Since I am not very interested in large size PC Games, which Video card would you recommend not very expensive?
Is my video card broken or do i need to find new drivers somewhere? I have an ATI Mobility x1400 in my Inspiron E1705 from Dell. I have recently reinstalled Windows XP, and my a video I had saved on my flash drive now only plays in weird rainbow colors. I installed the drivers for everything from Dell, but it still won't play right. Can I get new/better drivers, or is my video card messed up? no...the article doesn't pertain to me...the name is just an inside joke between my friends and I at my high school...that's really weird though.

What is a good video capture card to use when working with an xbox 360 and an iBook G4? I recently ordered and received a pinnacle dazzle video card and am less than pleased with the results. The quality of the videos is totally inconsistent, sometimes it is very low quality pixely and with lag between video and audio and sometimes it behaves itself and produces good quality captures. Has anyone else had this experience? Can someone recommend a remedy or a better video capture card for use with an xbox 360 and an iBook G4?
